Creating stories with words and pictures has always been an essential part of my happiness. As a young girl when I wasn't growing prize-winning squash, I would paint my masterpieces with my younger sisters at our kitchen table. As I grew, I spent long summer days exploring the sage hills of the Wenatchee Valley, dreaming up tales and drawing for hours.
Not much has changed. I continue to paint and write at my own kitchen table and find that I'm most content in nature. Although now, I get to experience the joy of wooly bear caterpillars, tiny tide pool creatures and starry night skies through the eyes of my three children. Pure magic!
As a self-taught artist, I've developed a unique illustrative style, blending colored pencils and watercolors to create heart-happy art. My incredibly supportive husband John and I live on an island in the Salish Sea with our two sweet boys and very cheeky, very lovable daughter.
