Polaroids From My Pencil

This project began as a way to carve out quiet moments of reflection and creativity for myself in a non-stop season of life. I decided to take 10-20 minutes each night and think of a funny, simple, or tender moment from the day and quickly illustrate it pencil instead of posting a photo online. I've consistently kept up the practice and now have hundreds of sketches that I occasionally take time to refine and paint. Below are a few painted polaroids and rough pages from my sketchbooks. The biggest surprise from committing to this project is my shift in perspective. There is ALWAYS good to be found when you are looking for it. Try it for yourself and discover the magic!
